"When I started lessons with Dickson, he instantly understood that, with my strong background in mathematics, I did not find economics conceptually difficult. It was the writing aspect of the exam where I lost marks. Our lessons focused on writing essay plans and discussing chains of reasoning. Dickson helped me understand what the exam board required and how I could easily achieve an A* by adding small details to my writing. Suddenly, economics became fun. Lessons became enjoyable, and writing essays for homework became an engaging task.
Marked homework from my teachers started returning more frequently with top-of-the-class marks. My interest in economics and related subjects grew, leading me to apply to the World Bachelor in Business program, which spans three continents and has a less than 5% acceptance rate. I applied with little hope and was very surprised when I received the acceptance letter in March.

We started working together during preparation for the mock exams, and I was able to go from 13/20 and a grade C on my first test, to getting an A on my mocks.
Then after winter break, I continued to work with Dickson consistently for the next few months. We were able to continue to raise my confidence, helping me get high grades in class, but also in economics competitions outside of school.
